Mission Vision Core Values

The mission of Baptist Bible College is training students to serve as pastors, missionaries and  Christian leaders.  Furthermore, for the institution to do so with the highest quality in the 21st Century includes acquiring the best administration, the best faculty, the best technology, and the best facility among other things.  If we are to prepare graduates to impact their culture in a manner worthy of the gospel, we must be aggressive and innovative in harvesting every resource possible to acquire resources necessary to accomplish the mission of Baptist Bible College.

The Office of Advancement at BBC is responsible for advancing the mission and goals of Baptist Bible College by enhancing existing relationships and developing new relationships with churches and constituencies across the broad spectrum of the BBFI and beyond. Outreach initiatives and fundraising efforts will be designed to enhance the College’s partnerships, including pastors, alumni, donors and friends, and members of the community. We are committed to raising up a legion of faithful churches and generous believing stewards with a biblical worldview perspective.  This includes how we ask our ministry partners to help equip men and women in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.  We commit to the following biblical principles as we seek partnerships to further the cause of equipping young men and women for ministry and life.

  1. God Owns It All (1 Chronicles 29:14)
God has provided us with all of our time, wealth, possessions, and resources. God owns everything. These resources are his gifts to us, which God will use to accomplish wonderful things for His Kingdom.|

  2. We Are To Manage And Invest God’s Resources (1 Peter 4:10)
Since God owns everything, church leaders and Christians are called to be faithful managers or stewards of all that God entrusts to them, to honor and glorify Him. Scriptures teach that faithful stewards are rewarded for reasonable risk and sacrifice to further God’s work.

  3. Our Giving Is To God (Romans 12:1; Philippians 4:17)
Giving, then, is a worshipful, obedient act of returning to God from what He has provided. Your giving should be directed to God, through His church. All giving is to God’s work, not an organization. Therefore, giving is a spiritual decision.

  4. God Is Watching Our Giving (Romans 14:12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Luke 16)
From God’s point of view, our giving becomes a tool to further His work on earth, a test to see how much responsibility we will be given in heaven, and our giving serves as a trademark of our lives as believers.

  5. God Is The Fundraiser (1 Chronicles 29:9; 2 Corinthians 9:7)
When needs are shared, the response is from the heart. God is the only One who stirs hearts and moves spirits. Therefore BBC will not ask from guilt, or greed. We will present needs in a forthright manner and trust God as the Fundraiser to touch the hearts of Pastors and others to meet the need.

  6. God Works Through His Local Church (Matthew 28:18-20)
The New Testament is clear that God primarily works through local churches throughout the world to accomplish His mission. Therefore, we will encourage tithing and giving to one’s local church as the first step in faithful stewardship. A priority will be to teach believers proper principles of stewardship through their local church.

  7. What Is BBC’s Role? (1 Chronicles 29:9; Exodus 35:21; 2 Corinthians 8-9)
Examples from David, Moses, and Paul suggest that BBC’s responsibility is to share the need, provide opportunities for stewards to respond, and allow God the opportunity to stir hearts and move spirits.

What Pastors are saying

From a Recent Graduate:

As a student pastor I recommend Potrait of Jeff Cops and Family Baptist Bible College to my students because I have confidence that they will receive an excellent education and be challenged to use that education to develop a Christian worldview of life.  At BBC the professors will take the time to assist, challenge and work side by side with the students.  BBC provides a healthy godly environment so the students can flourish spiritually and develop life-long friendships.
