NEW STUDENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

From the office of Academic Advising:

This program is the Peer Advisor program and will be limited to five to ten individuals. The goal is to help freshmen succeed in college. Qualifications are as follows:

1. The student must be a junior or senior for the fall of 2011.

2. The student’s cumulative GPA must be a minimum of 3.0.

3. The student must have five hours a week available to help other students.

4. The Peer Advisor will be advising new students enrolling for the fall semester.

5. The applicant must be able to attend a mandatory training session.

6. The applicant is expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, organizational and management skills. A working knowledge of various applications is required such as Facebook and Twitter. Training will be provided for campus based software.

7. The Peer Advisor will receive three credits per semester for participation in this exciting program.
