Contracted by Thomas Nelson during the years of 1978-1980 to work under Dr. James Price of Tennessee Temple Seminary who was the General Editor of the Old Testament. Researched difficult portions of the Old Testament text before the final revision committee settled upon a particular translation of that specific portion of Scripture.
- Secretary/Treasurer of the Evangelical Theological Society's Eastern region 1980-1981. Vice-chairman of the region 1981-1982. President of the region 1982-1983.
- Contracted to evaluate NIV translation for the books of Hosea and Obadiah by comparing the current translation with the Hebrew text and suggested changes that should be made and substantiated the reasons why such changes should be implemented.
