BBC Traveling Teams
Without a doubt the biggest blessing that God has given us, here at Baptist Bible College, is our students. Our students, although engaged in various programs and majors, are diligent in their everyday lives to draw close to God and help others to do the same. One example of this is our recruitment teams. Our recruitment teams, which consist of the LIFT Team, REC. Team, and Breakaway Band, invest countless hours in high school students from around the country.
Although each team has its own specific responsibilities, the teams still have a single focus of helping people draw close to God. Breakaway’s Bethany Slack stated: "I want to be the catalyst to help kids get pumped about BBC. I want to go and help kids get excited about God.” (June Edition - BBC Office of Advancement Newsletter). The teams all have these same type goals in mind.
LIFT Team
The LIFT Team is made up of: Blake Hunter, Caleb Sims, Caleb Moore and Nick Mills. (Pictured Below)
The LIFT Team travels around as part of the staff of LIFT Student Ministries. LIFT is an international organization that holds Bible based camps around the World. LIFT seeks to help teenagers focus on Christ. LIFT is an acronym for “Linking an Interstate Fellowship of Teenagers” and its purpose: “LIFTing up Christ”.
REC. Team
The REC. Team is made up of: Karl Fredrickson, Christiana Polk, David Lemay, Collin Lee, Blake Housley and Jordan Shores. (Pictured Below)
The REC. Team travels around the United States to camps and events. The REC Team specifically helps camp directors by running games and events, performing dramas during services, along with assisting individuals making decisions towards Christ.
Breakaway Band
The Breakaway Band is made up of: (back row) Kimberly Rollins, Daniel Cox, Brett Hunter, Jerrod Cate, Jonathan Jeffers and Matthew Minning (front row) Jared Barringer, Bethany Slack and Caleb Thomas. (Pictured Below)
The Breakaway Band travels throughout the entire year to camps, churches, and events. The Breakaway Band is a worship band that plays music for different events. Along with playing music the band also works hand in hand with the event coordinator, usually a pastor, to make sure that the event is running smoothly. The Breakaway Band also gets the unique opportunity to use their free time to hang out and build relationships with students in a variety of situations.
